Cal and new head coach Cuonzo Martin added another late piece to their 2014 recruiting haul on Friday night as point guard Brandon Chauca committed to the Golden Bears. A source confirmed Chauca’s commitment with NBCSports.com.

The 5-foot-9 Chauca picked Cal over Washington State and he averaged 23 points, seven assists and three rebounds per game during his senior year at 22 Feet Academy.

Chauca joins center Kingsley Okoroh in Cal’s 2014 recruiting class.

Cal loses senior starting point guard Justin Cobbs for next season, but Chauca is only expected to be a role player at most for next season.
