Former Butler guard Elijah Brown has found a new school, announcing Saturday via his Twitter account that he’s committed to New Mexico. After sitting out the 2014-15 season Brown, the son of former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown, will have three years of eligibility remaining.
I appreciate all of the schools that showed interest in me in this process but I'm PROUD to say that I'll finish my career up as a LOBO! 🐾🐾🐺

Brown averaged 6.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs this past season, making just one start in the 30 games in which he played. Brown scored in double figures in nine games, posting a high of 19 points in Butler’s close home loss to Villanova in their Big East opener.
With Kendall Williams out of eligibility and Hugh Greenwood being a senior next season, the addition of Brown is an important one for New Mexico head coach Craig Neal. The lone guard with Division I experience who will have eligibility remaining when Brown becomes eligible is Cullen Neal, who averaged 7.1 points per game as a freshman.
Including Brown the Lobos, who won the Mountain West tournament title in 2013-14, are adding six newcomers to the program.
Five of those players are front court prospects, and considering the losses of both Cameron Bairstow and Alex Kirk those additions will be important for a program looking to maintain its status as one of the best in the Mountain West.
