The big news over the weekend for Kentucky fans was that center Willie Cauley-Stein underwent surgery on the ankle that he injured early in Kentucky’s Elite 8 matchup with Michigan.
According to John Calipari, Cauley-Stein will be out “a couple months”, which likely played a role in his decision to return to Kentucky for another season. It’s hard to workout for teams coming off of an ankle injury, especially for a player that relies so heavily on his physical tools, like the ability to run and jump like Cauley-Stein does at 7-foot-1.
The good news for Cauley-Stein’s teammates is that with the big fella laid up for the time being, they are now able to hitch a ride around campus on the seven-footers new cart ... :
They just have to be sure not to step on the foot with the big old cast on it:

Cauley-Stein is expected to be back to 100% by the time next season starts.
