North Carolina loses second-leading scorer and top rebounder James Michael McAdoo, as he announced he will head to the NBA after three seasons with the Tar Heels on Thursday afternoon. The previous evening, UNC got a preview of the new crop of talent entering Chapel Hill this fall.

In the second half of the McDonald’s All American Game in Chicago, 6-foot-6 guard Theo Pinson, the No. 19 overall commit in the Class of 204 according to Rivals, took two power dribbles and rose up, dunking over Kansas commit Kelly Oubre.

Fellow UNC commit Justin Jackson, listed as No. 10 overall on Rivals, ended with 23 points and five rebounds, earning MVP honors for the East team.

Oubre, the No. 12 overall recruit per Rivals, got the last laugh, helping the West earn a 105-102 win on Wednesday night.
