Georgia Tech’s Marcus Georges-Hunt wins game with a four-point play (VIDEO)

Things haven’t gone as planned for either Boston College or Georgia Tech this season, with both teams finding themselves in the bottom half of the ACC standings after entering 2013-14 with hopes of surprising people. And that can also be said for their matchup on Thursday, a game that was originally scheduled to be played on Wednesday night.

A winter storm that hit much of the southern United States hard led to the postponing of the game, and from an entertainment standpoint it didn’t disappoint. The difference: a four-point play by Georgia Tech’s Marcus Georges-Hunt with seven tenths of a second left in the game, giving the Yellow Jackets a 74-71 win in Atlanta.

Georgia Tech fan Daniel Burapavong captured the deciding play on video, and a solid crowd attended the game at McCamish Pavilion despite the 5:00 p.m. start time and the fact that the game was played one day later than expected.

Georges-Hunt, who finished the game with 15 points, was one of four Yellow Jackets to score in double figures as Brian Gregory’s team moved to 4-8 in ACC play. Olivier Hanlan led Boston College with 21 points.
