It’s hard not to love Nebraska head coach Tim Miles.

He’s funny, he’s enthusiastic, and he seemingly spends (wastes?) as much time on twitter as the rest of us. He tweets halftime updates during every game he coaches. He’s quick to crack a joke.

Essentially, he not like the media-savvy robots that coach most major conference basketball program. He’s a regular dude that just so happens to know a thing or two about hoops.

I bring all this up because Tim Miles did one of the coolest things you’ll see a college basketball coach do.

Just follow along:

@CoachMiles I’m proposing to my girlfriend soon and she’s a huge fan of yours (finding out she followed you on twitter sealed the deal) 1/2

@CoachMiles This is an odd request but would you make a short video to help me pop the question? Only like 20-30 seconds. #BeatOSU 2/2

@CoachMiles Theresa said ‘Yes’! Thank you again for helping me get the commitment from a recruit I’ve been after for a long time! -Joe
