The Wooden Award released their Midseason Top 25 list on Wednesday.

Most of the names that you would expect to be on there are. But there are some notable headscratchers, at least in my eyes.

Andrew Wiggins is on this list. Joel Embiid isn’t. Granted, Wiggins has arguably been better than Embiid if you factor in the entire season, but no one has been talked about more in recent weeks than Embiid.

I’m also confused by Aaron Craft’s presence on this lit over Big Ten opponents Nik Stauskas and Gary Harris. I love Craft. He’s not had a very good year. Cleanthony Early over Fred VanVleet is another one.

Anyway, the good news is that this list isn’t final. Anyone from outside the top 25 can be added to the final list.
