Duke falls outside AP top ten for the first time in six years

For the first time since November 25th, 2007, Duke’s basketball program isn’t ranked in the top ten of the AP poll.

Let me say that again.

For the first time in 122 weeks -- in more than six full seasons -- Duke’s slid outside the top ten of the AP poll. That’s the second-longest streak in the history of college basketball, falling a good 33 weeks short of UCLA’s run in the 1970s. Currently, Michigan State has the longest streak of consecutive weeks in the AP top ten at ... 16 weeks.

The Blue Devils fell to 11-3 this week after a loss at Notre Dame.
