Maine’s basketball program took another hit on Tuesday, as it appears that they will be losing second-leading scorer Alasdair Fraser.
Justin Edwards, the leading scorer in the America East, transferred earlier this month.
Jeff Goodman of CBSSports.com is reporting that Fraser will be leaving and looking for another Division I program to transfer into, but according to a report from the Bangor Daily News, Fraser -- a native of Scotland -- could be looking to turn pro next season.
A 6-foot-7 forward that averaged 13.4 points and 8.1 boards as a junior, Fraser isn’t an NBA prospect. But given the fact that he is Scottish gives him value overseas, and he’s probably good enough to make money playing this sport abroad.
