Gregg Marshall’s name comes up every spring as a possible mid-major coach who could make the jump to a BCS conference. This past week, though, he was focused on his team’s run to the Final Four and when they came up short against Louisville, he found a way to thank them. He reportedly took out an ad in the Wichita Eagle with the message “Thank you, Shocker Faithful.” The photo was tweeted by Twitter user Brad Slagle and can be seen below:

Marshall’s Shockers controlled the tempo for much of the game Saturday, but a flood of Wichita State turnovers and big shots from Louisville in the final minutes swung the momentum and the outcome.
