Just over a week after the first group of 12 players were selected to participate in the Under Armour Elite 24 game in Venice Beach, Calif., the names of the second dozen players were revealed Thursday.
Of the 12 who comprise the second group, only three are committed to schools, including two who have pledged to Bill Self and Kansas. Conner Frankamp, a sharp-shooting guard from Wichita, Kan., and Brannen Greene, an athletic forward and shooter, are both headed to Lawrence. Nigel Williams-Goss, a point guard from Findlay Prep (Nev.) has committed to Washington.
The top 2013 talent for this second group, though, is 6-7 forward Aaron Gordon of the powerhouse Oakland Soldier program, which won Nike Peach Jam this July. Jabari Bird, another west coast swingman and teammate of Gordon with the Soliders, was also selected.
For rising juniors, Top-5 prospect Tyus Jones leads the group, along with his Team USA teammate Justise Winslow.
