Their teams both fell victim to a 15-seed in the NCAA tournament, but on Thursday, Missouri’s Marcus Denmon and Duke’s Miles Plumlee will be the two biggest names at the 24th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, Intersport announced today.

Plumlee will lead the group in the slam dunk contest, which also includes William Mosley (Northwestern State), Bryan Narcisse (Clemson), Kenny Gabriel (Auburn), DeQuan Jones (Miami), David Kyles (Wichita State), Olu Ashaolu (Oregon), and James Justice (Martin Methodist).

For those are trying to remember what makes DeQuan Jones notable, his most famous dunk may have come back in high school, when he dunked on current Washington Wizard John Wall.

Denmon shot nearly 41% from 3-point range on the season as part of a hot-shooting offensive attack at Missouri. He will be joined by Bradford Burgess (VCU), John Shurna (Northwestern), Ryne Smith (Purdue), Juan Fernandez (Temple), Chace Stanback (UNLV), Casper Ware (Long Beach State), and Nick Barbour (High Point).

Ware was one of the most highly touted mid-major players in the country this season, averaging 17.4 points per game and shooting 37% from beyond the arc. Against Pacific, he shot 8-of-15 from three and scored 38 points.

The women are competing as well in the 3-point competition, with the following participants:

Brittany Rayburn(Purdue), Jessica Jenkins (St. Bonaventure), Ashley Corral (USC), Becky Burke (Louisville), Taylor Alton (Michigan State), Courtney Ingersoll (Toledo), Markeshia Grant (South Carolina), and Alyssa Shoji (Santa Clara)

There will be some celebrity judges for the slam dunk contest, including former Duke guard Bobby Hurley Jr. The competition will begin Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
